Our Integrative Healthcare Services:

Acupuncture is a gentle, evidence-informed therapy that forms part of a holistic approach to supporting overall wellbeing. It involves the insertion of very fine, single-use stainless steel needles at specific points on the body, typically retained for 20–45 minutes.

Acupuncture may support relaxation and stress management and is commonly used as part of an integrative approach to women’s health care. Individual responses vary, and treatment is tailored to each person’s needs and health history.

At Freyja Health, acupuncture is offered across various stages of women’s health, including fertility support, menstruation, preconception, pregnancy, and post-natal care. Treatment plans are personalised and may focus on supporting hormonal regulation, menstrual cycle regularity, and overall reproductive health.

Acupuncture may be used alongside different conception pathways, including natural conception, medicated cycles, IVF, or donor egg IVF, as part of a broader, collaborative care plan.

Naturopathy focuses on supporting the body’s natural regulatory processes and overall balance through an integrative, evidence-informed approach to care.

Naturopathic practice takes a holistic and preventative perspective, considering the interconnected nature of the body and lifestyle factors. It may include a combination of herbal medicine, nutritional support, homeopathy, and guidance around diet and lifestyle, tailored to individual needs.

As a women’s health clinic, Freyja Health takes the time to understand each client’s health history, symptoms, and goals. Care is personalised and aims to support hormonal and gynaecological health as part of a broader whole-body approach that considers digestive, immune, and nervous system function.

Treatment approaches may focus on supporting hormonal balance, menstrual cycle regularity, and overall reproductive health. Individual responses vary, and care is adapted over time based on clinical assessment and progress.

Nutritional medicine focuses on nourishment and supporting overall health through food, with attention to gut health and the role nutrition plays in whole-body wellbeing.

Rather than restrictive approaches, nutritional care centres on what to include to support the body’s needs. This approach considers digestion, absorption, metabolism, and excretion, recognising that how nutrients are processed is just as important as what is consumed.

Freyja Health offers nutrition support across a range of areas, including women’s health and gynaecology, thyroid health, and digestive wellbeing, as part of an integrative and individualised approach to care.

Nutrition support may be incorporated alongside care for concerns such as menstrual cycle irregularity, preconception, pregnancy, postnatal care, thyroid function, food sensitivities, bloating, and digestive discomfort. Care is tailored to the individual, and responses vary over time.

Functional medical testing takes a broad, integrative view of health and may be used to support clinical assessment alongside a person’s health history, symptoms, and other relevant information.

At a women’s health clinic, functional testing can help inform clinical decision-making and support the development and ongoing review of an individualised care plan. These tests may also be used to establish baseline markers and monitor changes over time.

Clients are encouraged to share any existing pathology results, including blood tests previously conducted by their GP or specialist. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of health status when considered alongside functional testing.

Freyja Health offers a range of functional tests that may explore aspects of hormonal health, including sex, stress, and thyroid hormones, as well as food sensitivities, gut and microbiome function, and selected genetic markers. Testing is used as part of a broader, personalised approach to care.
