Freyja –
Our clinic is named after the Nordic Goddess of femininity and fertility Freyja. She is love, beauty and fertility, bold in her feminine power. She follows her heart’s desires and commits fully to realising her dreams. Freyja represents healing in body, mind and spirit. She seeks more than external beauty – she seeks depth and intelligence too.
The meaning beyond the meaning
From our incredible founder, Dr Miranda:
“When I was 18, I lived in Sweden for 12 months. My beautiful Swedish host mother, like my own father, was a GP, but she was different. She practiced a blend of natural and western medicine, that I guess is what we would call integrative or functional medicine now. She inspired me to find something to study, someone to be, that resembled what she did and who she was. That is how I found Naturopathy, herbal & nutritional medicine and homeopathy. Funnily, my paternal great grandfather was a GP that used homeopathy, and my maternal grandfather used homeopathy to treat his farm animals. It’s in your veins, so they say. “
