Trying to Conceive
Integrative naturopathic support for preconception, pregnancy, and IVF-related wellbeing
Naturopathic principles may be incorporated into an integrative approach to preconception and prenatal wellbeing, with a focus on supporting overall health in preparation for pregnancy.
For those undergoing IVF, naturopathic care may provide supportive guidance around lifestyle, nutrition, and stress management, recognising the emotional and physical demands of assisted reproductive treatment. This care is designed to complement medical fertility treatment and support wellbeing throughout the process.
Baby on Board
The postnatal period is a time of significant physical and emotional change. Rest, nourishment, and support are commonly recognised as important considerations during early motherhood.
Our approach to postnatal care focuses on supporting maternal wellbeing during this transition, with attention to recovery, nourishment, emotional health, and the evolving needs of both mother and baby.
We offer supportive, integrative care during the postnatal period, which may include guidance around:
-
Postnatal wellbeing and recovery
-
Emotional and mental wellbeing after birth
-
Fatigue, sleep disruption, and energy support
-
Nutritional considerations in the postpartum period
-
Thyroid and hormonal wellbeing following pregnancy
All care is designed to support overall wellbeing and to work alongside medical care where appropriate
Thyroid Health
From a naturopathic perspective, we provide supportive, integrative care for thyroid and hormonal health. This may include nutritional and lifestyle guidance, herbal and nutritional medicine, and education to help you better understand your body and health patterns.
Where appropriate, our naturopaths may recommend further investigations in collaboration with your GP or specialist. We also encourage you to bring any recent blood tests or relevant investigations to your appointment, so we can consider your health picture as comprehensively as possible
Digestive Health
Love your guts. This is our jam! Supportive, integrative care for gut and digestive wellbeing
Digestive health plays an important role in overall wellbeing and is often considered as part of a whole-person, integrative approach to care. The gut microbiome — the diverse community of microorganisms that live in and on the body — is an area of growing scientific interest. Differences in digestive health may be relevant for some individuals experiencing digestive discomfort, changes in energy, skin concerns, or immune-related wellbeing.
Our approach to gut health focuses on supporting digestive comfort and overall wellbeing, with thoughtful consideration of nutrition, lifestyle, and individual health history. Care is personalised and designed to work alongside medical assessment where appropriate.

What Can Naturopathic Care Support??
Naturopathic care may be used as part of an integrative approach to health and wellbeing, supporting individuals with a wide range of health concerns.
At Freyja Health, naturopathy is delivered within an evidence-informed framework and focuses on supporting overall wellbeing through nutrition, lifestyle guidance, education, and individualised care. This approach considers physical, emotional, and environmental factors and is designed to complement conventional medical care where appropriate.

Test, Don’t Guess
Evidence-informed assessment and personalised naturopathic care
Our naturopaths are experienced in reviewing existing pathology results and may, where appropriate, recommend further investigations in collaboration with your GP or specialist. We encourage you to bring any recent test results to your appointment.
In some cases, additional integrative or functional medicine tests may be considered eg. MTHFR & homocysteine, extensive thyroid testing, stool analysis or DUTCH Plus.
Is it safe to take natural medicines if I am taking pharmaceutical drugs?
In some cases, natural medicines may be used alongside pharmaceutical medications, but this depends on the individual and the specific medicines involved.
At Freyja Health, our naturopaths carefully consider potential interactions and contraindications and will only make recommendations where appropriate. We encourage you to disclose all medications and supplements you are taking so care can be tailored safely, and in collaboration with your prescribing doctor where needed
