Naturopathy
Naturopathic medicine takes a holistic, preventative approach to health, blending traditional knowledge with contemporary evidence to support overall wellbeing.
Care is individualised and may include dietary and lifestyle guidance, herbal and nutritional medicine, vitamin & mineral therapy, homeopathy and education to support informed, sustainable health choices
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional practice with a long history, now commonly used as part of an integrative approach to health and wellbeing.
Treatment involves the gentle insertion of very fine, single-use needles at specific acupuncture points and is often chosen to support relaxation, comfort, and overall wellbeing. Many people find acupuncture a calming experience that supports emotional balance during periods of stress or change.
Nutritional Medicine
Nutritional medicine focuses on nourishment and supporting overall health through food. It considers not only what is eaten, but how the body digests, absorbs and utilises nutrients to support whole-body wellbeing.
Care is individualised and may explore digestion, gut health, metabolism and nutrient status. Rather than restrictive approaches, nutritional support centres on including foods and nutrients that align with a person’s unique needs and health goals.
Functional Medicine Testing
Functional medicine testing takes an integrative view of health and may be used to support clinical assessment alongside a person’s history, symptoms and existing pathology results.
Testing can help inform clinical decision-making and guide the development and review of an individualised care plan. Areas explored may include hormonal health, thyroid function, gut and microbiome balance, food sensitivities and selected genetic markers.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a holistic approach that focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure and overall function. At Freyja Health, both structural and cranial osteopathy are offered within the clinic.
Structural osteopathy works with the musculoskeletal system and may involve hands-on techniques to support joint mobility and muscle balance. Cranial osteopathy is a gentler approach that works with subtle movements of the head and body.
Both approaches are used as part of an individualised plan of care, supporting overall wellbeing and physical function.
